In striving to provide its customers with more convenient services, CCB had changed its SMS financial service number on December 1st 2007: while its China Mobile service number 6201 95533 was changed to 95533, its China Unicom service number remained unchanged as 95533. Hence, CCB’s SMS financial service numbers were unified to 95533.
After such a unification, if a customer wants to make enquiries in account information, interest rates, exchange rates or mobile phone banking WAP addresses, all it takes is to edit the message concerned in accordance with operation rules and send it over SMS to 95533. The result of the transaction will be relayed back to the customer via the 95533 service number. In addition, on specification of SMS services by a CCB Wealth Management Card or debit card holder or by a CCB electronic banking customer, SMS information such as change of Wealth Management Card or debit card balance alerts, online banking logon alerts, downloading of certificates, advanced warnings of online transactions, etc will all be sent to the customer’s mobile phone through the 95533 service number. Meanwhile, CCB branches will separately offer additional SMS financial services characteristic of each branch. For specific service contents, customers can enquire through the respective local 95533 customer service numbers.
Industry insiders are of the opinion that CCB’s unification of its numbers for the SMS channel and the landline channel will not only improve customer experience by making it easier for customers to operate and memorise, but will also facilitate advertising and promoting of its businesses. This has significance in raising public awareness of CCB’s electronic banking, in spreading out the influence of the “e-Route” brand name and in promoting healthy and rapid development of its electronic banking business.
It is understood that CCB’s mobile phone banking services include online mobile phone banking services and SMS financial services. Since the launching of
